Middle school is a critical time of development for youth. DreamBuilders receive social, emotional, physical, and academic enrichment in a team-based environment. Through workshops, one-on-one tutoring, case management, service-learning projects, and time on the ball field, DreamBuilders are headed for success as they transition into high school and adulthood.

Ryan Ruiz is an 8th grader in DreamBuilders. When he first joined in 6th grade, he was only interested in baseball. He came to program every day with tons of energy—and plenty of sass. Academics were a challenge for Ryan because completing homework and workshops just wasn’t as fun as playing on the field. But with the support of his coordinators and teammates, Ryan began to see the importance of schoolwork for his future. He was determined to be a positive role model for his younger brothers. Ryan has successfully applied to high school and is looking forward to learning more about college and careers.
