Success Story

Katherine Perez, or “KP”, is a 12th Grader in DreamWorks. When she first started as a middle school TeamBuilder, KP was very shy. You wouldn’t know that today. She is now the captain of the Lady Royals, a team of 11th and 12th grade girls. During games and practice, KP is usually leading cheers, giving advice, and mentoring younger players on the field. She’s grown into a confident leader and has had great opportunities to show her skills. Last summer, KP represented DREAM at a StreetBall conference in Lyon, France, where she got to meet and learn from youth all over the world. And when KP isn’t on the field or helping her younger brother with homework, she’s focused on college. She hopes to attend the University at Albany to play Division I Softball while pursuing a Degree in Biology.
