Welcome to the 2020-21 school year at DREAM.
Although we started the year in remote learning mode, after months of planning for a safe return, DREAM launched our phased in-person reopening on Tuesday, October 13. As we work back toward having 100% of our students back in school five days a week, we’re committed to getting it right. We’re all in this together – because even when we face uncertainty or unfamiliarity, DREAM is family – always.
As circumstances continue to evolve, our policies and practices will change if it means keeping you and our community safe. Read on for more details about how we’ll return to school while keeping each other safe and healthy.
As always, you’re invited to visit our Family Hub for additional resources and supports.
Our Guiding Principles
We’re approaching this year with three core principles. These principles will guide all decisions we make.
• The health and safety of everyone in our learning community – youth, staff, and families – is priority.
• DREAM students will get an excellent education – they will learn as much as they would in a typical school year.
• DREAM will continue to invest in our Grow the Whole Child model and attend to students’ social, emotional, and physical development.
